MONTEPULCIANO D`ABRUZZO DOP

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections and legs evidence, with an intense and complex bouquet of red fruit, plum, sour cherry and a hint of tar. Dry, full-bodied, fine-grained velvety tannins that combine to offer a long pleasant finish. Generally pairs with a wide variety of foods due to naturally elevated acidity. However, the robust herbal and tobacco-like flavours with grippy tannin often call for richer and more savoury foods. MEAT: roasted pork shoulder, beef burgers with mushrooms, barbecued beef brisket, meatloaf. CHEESE: parmesan, asiago VEGETABLES: like a stuffed baked potato, black bean burgers, roasted mushrooms.
